Violinist FRANZISKA HÖLSCHER performs internationally as a soloist, chamber musician, and festival
director in major music centers. Together with the late German television moderator and book author
Roger Willemsen, she developed the stage programme Landscapes, which she recorded with Maria
Schrader and pianist Marianna Shirinyan on a CD that has received numerous awards. Her connection
to new music is reflected in an outstanding number of world premieres, such as that of Wolfgang
Rihm‘s Concertino. Franziska Hölscher is the artistic director of the music festival Fränkischer Sommer.
